So Warren Central will be nowhere near their best at state.

IHSFA (speech) State is on the same day. Based on their performance time, they're going to be without 7-10 people. This is the same problem they had at Pike. They were 3rd during the day, then were witout 5 people for the night show and fell down to 5th.

So I'm thinking warren will not be placing as well as they should. Its sad.

Not an expert on Indian Show Choir, but I was at Lawrence Central's competition, and LC's exhibition performance was nowhere near the level of NC. I don't know how anyone can even compare the two.
I'm pretty sure there's an All-Indian Show Choir coming to the West Broazer Invitational in Kentucky

Make that Indiana Show Choir. I can't edit with Internet Explorer. It would, however, be really cool if Indians had Show Choir.

saying NC doesnt want to win is incorrect. if anything, they want a good vibe going into FAME NY the week after. NC is prolly the worst school to underestimate at this competition.

amen to that ;)

This year FC has 2 championships, 2 1st runner-ups, and a 3rd runner-up.

tis will be a very interesting comp. carmel cs, pike , an Fc will all battle for the gc. i kno CS is tired of not gettig it. an coming off a very respectable 3d at sowstoppers. (their BEST performance EVER esp this yr) they want it!!
i know NC has had 2 weeks but i dont think they will have the drive enough to want the win bad enough.
carmel is undefeated , cs is undefeated (in indiana and against indiana schools) and FC is undefeated. hose three groups alone are amazing and either of them could win. i'd rather see fC or LC win because i know they have worked hard for years and deserve it.

now though that there are 10 finalists they should take four groups to finals. i think that wold not only be more fir. it would be more interesting.

FC isn't undefeated, they lost to pike at bendavis. but i do love their show, and i'm incredibly proud of them for taking FAME orlando. i just hope the same thing doesn't happen like last year to FC or LC: where they GC'ed at every competition only to not make finals at state.

as much as id love to see a lot of the top class A choirs perform in finals, i LOVE that it's only three. This way the prelim performance is actually a very important part of the competition. think about it...at a lot of competitions there are 7 or 8 choirs performing and finals is the top 5 or 6...so two or three choirs dont make finals. here you have 7 choirs that dont make finals. a lot more disappointment, but much more intensity and pressure surrounding prelims. im excited.

i know! i love it too... This is going to be the most intense ISSMA ever.

REALLY REALLY excited to see what NC has done with their show since BD as well. I thought their Prelims performance there was a shoo in, though they seem to be having some trouble so i'm going to keep them at underdog status.

It's kind of like a FAME contest...

When we were at Fame Branson in 05, there were:

Prelims - All groups present for competition

Semi finals - Top 10 groups out of the (I think 17 that year)

Finals - Top 3 out of Semi Finalists.

But that competition sucked... we were ahead of John Burroughs and close to clinton going into "semi finals", then they added a 7th judge and we ended up in 4th place .5 points behind Totino Grace.

This set up can be a REAL heartbreaker.

Give it your all EVERY SINGLE SHOW, thats all you can do

ok i refuse to post my predictions for class B state, it's bad karma. however, i will put my two cents in for class A finals
i think it is going to come down to carmel, FC, and the last spot will be between NC and LC. i agree it is difficult to call anything, especially with NC having two weeks to revamp.
it's all up in the air.
i would like to hear someone else's predictions for class b, though

I think Lawrence Central has a shot too. They have had a great season. Who do you think will make it to the mixed finals? I think that LC, FC, and Carmel will make it, but that leaves out groups like NC, HN, Pike, BD, and WC. This set up is so weird. I just cant image finals without certain groups but there are only spots for 3.

I think FC has a huge chance at getting GC. Even LC I believe. I have heard Carmel has a big performance this week and they might be off their game, which is all it will take for one of these groups to take GC.

Also, we have no idea how NC will do considering they have taken two weeks to revise and perfect their show for state and fame.

This should be interesting. What is everyone elses prediction?

it is definitely going to be a close call at both competitions especially with carmel in the mix now.
