hmmmm .... that's a little confusing about the caption awards and the final placements ... at any rate, congrats to everyone!
that happened at States in 2004...Hurricane won GC without winning Vocals or Choreography. They ended up second in both, while Winfield was first in vocals and third in choreography, and Capital was first in choreography and third in vocals. It's just some odd ball thing that happens from time to time
GO GO GO SPANISH FORK!!!!! Chad said you guys were hitting on all cylinders, and we're both so proud of you and the work you've done with Mr Lunt this year. I can't wait to see you guys next week (make it NOT snow in Utah, okay?) and put some final touches on the show before the Branson Cup. Once again, mad props for your first-ever championship (did a 42-year old man just use the phrase "mad props"?) God Bless, Damon
I have seen schools win Visuals and Vocals and still lose (Edgewood at New York against Center Grove in 2004). But it just means that Eisenhower and Sioux City are lacking in areas while Spanish Fork was just well rounded.
hmm...those are some strange results. SF must have come in 2nd in all categories, while eisenhower & east had 1st in the captions they won (obviously..) and 3rd or 4th place finishes in the categories they didn't take the caption awards in, maybe?
