hey guys!! 2 more days!! today was the last meeting and there is a ton of volunteers working on this competition. im glad to say that you wont be making a long walk from your set to stage instead sets r going in the band room which is right next to the stage!! the bad thing is we only have one stage door so if your doing pre-assemble then youll have to do it in either the drama storage room or the make up room yes the make up room lol well good luck to all groups! and have fun!! cant wait to see how this goes with the new auditorium and everything oh yea SEATING WILL BE LIMITED!! THERE WILL BE A SCREEN IN THE GYM JUST LIKE MARYSVILLE WITH A LIVE VIDEO FEED SO YOU WONT MISS ANYTHING!

Hmm, this is going to be a toss up..but here's my predictions

GC: Marysville/Homestead
1ru: Marysville/Homestead
2ru: Medina
3ru: Teays Valley
4ru: Poca
5ru: Colerain

Vocals: Marysville
Choreo: Homestead
Combo: Homestead

It's going to be a close race between Homestead and Marysville. Again, Marysville early time spot COULD hurt them, but I think they will make up for their bad time spot in finals. They are really going to have to bring it in prelims in order to take this competition. I really think it could go either way though.

This sounds like an amazing competition! I think Poca will place higher than Medina. Good luck to Garfield Heights this year! Hopefully there will be no trouble between our schools this year.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU GUYS TOO!!! and no there shall be none of that bs that occured last year. cant wait to see your show at poca!

Who are the groups on the waiting list Darnell??

and i thought is throw up my predictions.

GC- Homestead/ Marysville
1RU- Marysville/ Homestead
2RU- Teays Valley
3RU- Medina
4RU- Solon/ Poca/ ETC
5RU- Poca/Solon/ETC

Best Combo: Homestead
Best Vocals: Homestead
Best Choreography: Marysville

Both Best Vocals and Choreography i think will be very close so either Marysville or Homestead will win those, who i have up there now is who i think has the better chance of winning those awards. I think the resurged Teays Valley will come up jus a little short of Marysville (and i mean very little) and take 3rd place. Medina i think will be out of the wolf pack at the top but still way ahead of the wolf pack behind them that is Solon, Poca, and ETC who all have a chance at the final two spots. Also added in there could be Grove City and Cabell Midland. This is going to be a very fun competition and i cant wait to see how it all pans out!

This sounds like an amazing competition! I think Poca will place higher than Medina. Good luck to Garfield Heights this year! Hopefully there will be no trouble between our schools this year.

10:30 - Group 6

11:00 - GHHS Jazz Ensemble
11:15 - Awards

I think the top three spots will be a good battle. Marysville, Teays, Homestead. On the other hand it will be very close for the last 3 spots as well.

With ETC, Cabell-Midland, Colerain, Medina, Ravenswood, Poca, and Solon. Wow I don't know who will make finals. If it were me I wouldn't put money on finalists. I think Teays, Marysville, and Homestead will take the top 3 spots. But who knows I've seen things I wouldn't think I would ever see happen.

I favor Marysville because of the past few years. They have truly been a powerhouse, but with a 10:00am prelim time that could really throw a group off. A group that typically performs after 1pm can have a rough time with early times. And with a posibility of a 12 hour delay between prelims and a finals performance could really take away a groups "spunk" I hope this is not the case. Also Medina having a new director may be a set back. But I could be wrong... they could be stronger than ever. Who knows?!?

Good luck everyone

hey everyone fyi we are working extremly hard especially our directors to make this comp. go nice and smooth. the only thing that i know that may suprise you is that its lookin like sets are going in the gym like last year but unlike last year the stage is on the other side of the school! If you went to marysville then youll be ok cuz itll be about the same distance of a walk but if you didnt go and you dont think you can walk that far with your set i suggest you go into the weight room and lift like crazy this week lol DONT FORGET TO BRING MONEY FOR OUR BAKE SALE 100% OF THE PROFITS GOES TO EXPRESS' ACCOUNT! any questions feel free to ask! =p
