I agree with you Jake(On Jefferson Connection not making finals). I was shocked that neither of the Bloomington groups made it into finals! And I also agree that Totino was AWESOME!!! Your show was very entertaining! Congrats to them and to everyone else that made finals!!!

does anyone have points i am very interested to know scores. like separating WW from TG and WAUKEE because it was most likely as close as prelims like .5 points away!

I'm glad to see so many people were touched by Wheaton Warrenville's performance! They are an outstanding group of performers... it makes me and other SCC friends not feel like big dorks for giving their ballad a standing ovation at day round Onalaska.

hmmm, i don't think its so much that they don't think they deserved it, just that it was kinda unexpected.

i mean, pretty much everyone predicted WW to sweep this competition - i know i was thinking that, too. who would have guessed waukee had this one? i think everyone just had a lot of preconcieved notions about the groups coming. not to be demeaning to any other group, that is. people just assume that WW not winning or waukee jumping up and winning is an upset. i don't think so - its not an upset, just a suprise.

i'm just saying if i was from waukee browsing this topic, i would question if my group deserved to get grand champions.

and based on what i've seen they deserve it.

i dont know if any wheaton warrenville people actually go on SCC, and i really am not a fan of blogging up a strom here, but i just have to say

wheaton - by far the most beautiful ballad i've ever heard, hands down. From now until some beats you (unlikely), when asked what my favorite ballad of all time, definitly wheaton warrenville 2008. thank you so very much.

I would have to agree! I do not think anyone was trying to be rude but stating it was an unexpected win. I mean WW won Onalaska thats a pretty tough competition, but congratulations to Waukee for blowing the judges away with your show! But anyways thank you to Waconia for hosting such a great competition! It was so much fun to compete against all these great groups and attend this competition!

hmm im confused at how many people think Waukee did not deserve to be Grand Champions...

I happen to LOVE Millennium and would like to tell anyone from the group reading this that you deserved 100% the Grand Champion placing that you recieved this weekend " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

riverside did not compete !!!!
it was incredibly weird to be there the entire day and still not perform.
even at the end i was still like WHEN ARE WE GOING TO PERFORM!?!??! AHHH!!!!!!

it was a looooooooooooooooooooong day but an amazing one.

I LOVE TOTINO and all the wonderful people I met from there. (wes and leah love your solos)

thoughts:

-Jefferson Connection I'm so sorry you got screwed over...AGAIN! still love you as much as ever...if you didn't see me in the third row i was literally freaking out during your entire show with my friends.

-waukee. your show is weird and my personal opinion is that you guys are very good (especially your vocals with amazing dynamics) but i just do not like your show very much. SORRY don't take it the wrong way. obviously you're good the judges voted you a winner but....yeah, personal opinions.

-TOTINO!!! love you guys and your show it's INCREDIBLY FUN AND ENTERTAINING AND THATS WHAT MATTERS MOST. plus you guys are awesome people. ...leah........yeah, self explanitory. comments though, your show really has no ups and downs. it's all good! i think a completely successful show, though, has some completely amazing moments and then the rest good. which is really hard to do and your show is like a steady GREAT the entire time but there's just no COMPLETELY INCREDIBLE JAWDROPPING MOMENTS. good work though love you guys and your awesome show. nice work.

-bemidji great job loved the choir robes at the beginning that was flippin awesome. i don't know your show that well, some things just got mushed in my brain after like 20 hours of show choir yesterday....lol

-Wheaton-Warrenville....classics..... i absolutely adore you guys. you have no idea how much i love you. it's frickin incredible. YOUR SHOW IS SOOOOOOOOO AMAZING. almost the entire time your show is incredible with little bits and snippets slowing down to the GREAT section which is good because it gives your show better flow.
four words: YEAHHH SING IT ANYWAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i don't like aim lingo but seriously OMFG!!!!!!!!! your ballad is the best EVER no lie. i love the soloist and wish i knew her name which i should because she is most likely FAMOUS, MY GOSH!!!! the goosebumps build throughout your ballad and THEN THE FULL BODY CHILLS COME and you guys sing with the most passion...i think i even saw a few people seriously crying. if not you guys are WAY good actors. one of the people crying was me almost. seriously, the first time i saw it i just sat there in speechless awe. like, "DID THAT JUST HAPPEN RIGHT NOW?!" and the second time I just embraced myself for the sheer amazingness of it. i could go on forever....

if it were up to me:

Grand Champ - COMPANY (BC) (BB)
1st Runner Up - CLASSICS (BV) (first two interchangable)
2nd Runner Up - CONNECTION(best guys, best group of soloists throuhgout along w/ WW and TG)
3rd Runner Up - VOCALMOTIVE (best costumes overall)
4th Runner Up - MILLENIUM (best guys costumes!!!)
5th Runner Up - INNOVATION (best girl costumes...the first costume combo is like cotton candy!!)

shout out to soloists!
-LEAH TOUSIGNANT! (totino)
-BRENT! (jefferson)
-AMAZING BALLAD GIRL! (whtn-wrnville)
-JASMINE! (jefferson)
-RUSH GIRL!!! (jefferson)
-WES! (totino)

Could anyone tell me the name of the girl from Waconia that had the ballad solo last year and another one this year? I love her voice and she's my favorite performer from Waconia . I love your show this year, it's one of my favorites from 2008. I LOVED this competition! It's my favorite so far because I got to see Wheaton, Totino, and Waconia! WW- you guys were amazing and your ballad gave me chills and want to watch your performance over and over. The food was good, I see why you guys incessantly talked about it although I wish I ate more of it . Overall it was very enjoyable!
