i'm at home - but my show choir homie's are @ waconia! i've been keeping in contact with them, and it sounds really exciting! actually, i'm listening to waubonsie valley varsity's opener right now - live as i'm typing, and it sounds friggin' awesome! the opening soloist sounded perfect! (aside from the static! )

wow, can't wait for results!
they gave me their ideas of how the prep division ranking after their morning performances:
1st - tie between Jefferson Jive and Encore Singers! (I'm - of course - rooting for Encore!!!! YEAH!!!!) " border="0" alt="thumbsup.gif" />

3rd - Midwest Magic - Holmen
and so on and so forth...

we'll se how they all do!
good luck to everyone!!!!!!!!!

;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Cool, I'm not the only one at home. Who are you talking to that is at Waconia?? How did Encore and Leading Ladies do????? I hope they did well.

Leading Ladies and Encore rock my socks off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

im of course roootin for northern lights from n.st.paul where im an alumni buttttt i wouldnt count out mitchelle friend de coups either. i saw them last year at sioux city bishop heelan and i thought they were very well represented there last year. i guess i havent seen them this year yet, but i remember them always being a group that has been represented well.

i remember last year this comp. was packed with AWESOME groups from all over. but the scoring mishap seemed to put a damper on the groups who attented this year.. it just doesnt seem like its as packed. hmm =/

I LOVE WACONIA!!! the thing i remember most about last year was our former prep group "Soundsations" and our varsity group "Northern Lights" had rooms close to each other and through Soundsations room you could get to another room which was a science room, and i remember the taxidermied animals that were staring at us lol, this comp is amazing

im excited to meet you 'dodge'.
we love love love your competition and we've had really awesome hosts in the past (like the one soloist girl that had short blonde hair, i believe; maybe she graduated?).
waconia is always our most treasured trip because its clearly amazing! what could be better than competing, minnesota people, awesome bread bowls, shaved ice, and MOA?~??~ lkjawelkfjlakwjef
yay.

Yes i am so excited tooo i am actually about on my way to drive my car to the comp...... I live about amile away.....LOL......Well i hope that everyone enjoys the comp as much as i do........IT IS A BLAST.....LOL

NLSinger--Don't count Jefferson out...their singing tone is extremely rich. I personally LOVE their vocals and have them as 95% in finals.

Okay so a couple OASCers were going to drive to Waconia but decided against it...too bad...this looks pretty good.

I dont agree with that though, but i think all of us AA groups have a shot at finals for sure, and i put WV,Bemidji, or IC at GC, but Northern Lights could surprise everybody tomorrow, lets wait and see

I think that this comp. is going to be very interesting. It seems like all the predictions are all the same or generally the same. But I think this will be different than you guys think. I'm gonna say that there will be an upset, at least one. But not just a small upset.

No offense to jefferson, but from what i've heard, their vocals arent that good. Don't get me wrong they're still good, but if i had to make the upset switch i would choose Northern Lights over Connection, from what i hear.

Can I officially declare the Mall of America as the show choir capital of the world?...

Haha, just kidding. ;)

Although it would be awesome to host a competition there...a joint Jefferson/Kennedy/heck of a lot of money kinda thing? Alright, somebody call FAME!

And good luck to everyone tomorrow!

North Saint Paul would pitch in too, that would be awesome, performing in the atrium right outside of park at MOA, that would just be sweet! great idea, even if you meant it as sarcasim just picture it.

good luck to everybody, and come check out Northern Lights!!

Hey my name is Mary. I'll be hosting Waubonsie Valley Sound Check for the Star Power competition in Waconia, MN. Let me know if you guys need anything!
for your room.... favorite snack? school colors? would mirrors be helpful?
I heard about your guys' success at Milton!! I'm really excited to see your show!

oh yes mirrors are always really nice!!!! it seems that there are never mirrors in the host rooms! " border="0" alt="weeping.gif" /> so yeah mirrors would help a lot!
