I think we're going to think a heck of a lot differently. In the way of uncertainty, I mean. Anything can happen!...And I'm not even going to guess this time, haha.

Just to throw this out there, in the awards last year, there were many mistakes that really cause alot of drama, like more so then normal. Anyway Sauk Prairie actually beat Bemidji in the technically correct way of ranking, and i believe there was something else that was severly screwed up, but i just know that we actually placed 1st R.U.
And yes this competition is one of the best we've been to because everyone it new so they are super nice!
I was not going off of last year, but I was going off of what I've seen and heard this year in addition to past years(plural). I never use only one year to judge a program for the upcoming group because you must allow for the exceptional "talented" class. To me, Bemidji has a better show and has a better chance of taking 1st Runner Up. If you feel the results will fall differently, feel free to post your own perdictions.
-Tom
I think his point was that Tom should have predicted Sauk above Bemidji, based on last year's correct results. Maybe he doesn't recall that Totino-Grace was the group most negatively affected by the mistake, and thus, would remember the details of the situation most accurately.
The accurate results being that according to the Ranking system used by Waconia, Bemidji was the actual Grand Champion show choir- Sauk did not technically beat them, they technically beat Sauk.
Just a guess.
this is true.
going into finals, we were in first. i remember it quite clearly (oh what a beautiful day!).
things got mixed up in the end, AND Bemidji was properly supposed to be claimed Grand Champion of the competition (seeing as they had an awesome show last year!). i think we were down for the count as 1st runner up.
I hope Mitchell puts on a good showing, after last weekend (not making finals at Omaha Westside), it might be an uphill battle for them to make finals.

The first set of groups on the schedule of the previous page is Class A and the last set of groups are the open division I believe there are only 7 open class groups. Top six open class groups and top scoring group from Class A advance to finals for a total of 7 groups I believe.
Good Luck Everybody!
if i remember correctly from last year and the year before when i went to spectate, the group from the auditorium or class A only competes in exhibition during finals.. but are not considered a contender for any awards other than the class A awards they previoulsy won
Hopefully I can get into the gym to see more than just NSP...but I'm for sure going to try and sneak out to see them!
If anyone from NSP remembers a random chick from Waconia handing out glowstick in '03 and '04 for sure, that was me Some Bemidji kids might remember me too!
haha YES I sO remember u
=>
yayyy for good show choir moments
What are the divisions for this competition? is there a prep/womens division? or is everyone open?
and who can make finals?

I really hope they add at least one group to this competition... Right now there are 7 groups in class AA which means only 1 group won't make it into finals... If there are two groups then it isn't quite as demeaning. Oh well... We'll see what happens.
