Sorry to disappoint my SCC buddies...
The Chesterton "Drifters" and "Sandpipers" have pulled out of the Pekin Invitational as of this afternoon. We've experienced a great deal of illness and several school cancellations this week; also, part of our band was going to be absent due to the ISSMA solo and ensemble state finals in Indianapolis which also take place on Saturday. Our school policy is such that students must attend all day on Thursday to be eligible for competitions where we depart on Friday, and we had many members of both groups who were too ill to attend school today. Our decision to withdraw is unfortunate but necessary, and we extend a sincere apology to the Pekin folks whom we've inconvenienced.
Best of luck to all groups competing there this weekend!

Considering Manteno made finals at Dekalb last weekend for the first time in the history of the competition...they are a possible candidate for finals...but who knows because this competition is going to be FIERCE!!!!!!!!!! Good luck to all! I'm so excited to see all the groups
