i think it pretty interesting that someone bothered to make their own scores above. somebody needs some humble pie

Why does it really matter? Maybe they like to use the scoresheet that was left for them in the program. I think that what you said has absolutely no relevance to the topic @ hand. Just accept that they didn't have your group where you thought they should have. Yes, he even said he was bias in his rankings, but you can't say that if you were judging your own group, that you wouldn't have them higher than what they really deserve to be?

FrontNCenter, I believe you to be overreacting. It was asked that his opinion's be put in this thread. That is what this thread is about.

Those scores are just opinions, you don't have to take them so offensively. It would be the same if he left those out.

a lot of people do... thats why there is a thing called "Audience scoresheet" its in the middle of almost every program at every contest....

he's a director so yeah he's right, secondly he said that's how they placed after PRELIMS!

yea i noticed after i posted, but i dont think being a director makes him right as much as having scoresheets because hes a director makes him credible. i wasnt trying to be rude i was only checking the facts

yeah, "oh wow" pretty much sums it up. watching all these groups during the course of the day, it was like a bunch of actors up for an academy award, all very very deserving to win. thanks again to verda slinkard and everyone from edgewood for their hospitality.

judges were j. kevin butler, marty demott, linda mceachran, brett peppo, semonne strawbridge & eric van cleave. rankings after prelims:

1) findlay
2) marysville
3) eisenhower
4) sullivan
5) franlin central
6) crete monee

are these your rankings because thats not the way the night turned out

It's cool that Marty DeMott got it just right! I don't know how others felt about this comp. but I thought the adjudicators did an excellent job esp. in finals!

He does this a lot. I know he judged at Davenport West and Central's "Great River" and Showstoppers Chicago (2004) before and has gotten the ranks exactly right. I think he's possibly done it at Onalaska as well.

Some one should have this man tested... maybe he has a gene that just makes it availible to him to know how the outcome will be at competitions.
