I still wouldnt count out Crete or Chesterton to sneak into the finals and surprise us all. This contest is really hard to judge since Findlay and Teays both went threw big changes last year with Mr. Smith moving on and Mr. Crandell moving on. If this is the Sulivan im thinking of i dont see why with there reputation that they could take GC. But i do love my Marysville kids and I could see them repeating as GC. It really all depends on who shows up. just a hard one! this is exciting!!
Well, I certainly wouldn't have expected that from the last time I saw them (2005), so I guess that really does show how things can change. I also haven't seen Findlay since J.D. Smith left, so I'm really curious to see how they're looking. The man was such an amazing director and had such a personality that it's hard to imagine the group without him, though its actual members may think differently ...

I would be truely shocked if Teays didn't make the top three here. I haven't seen a show in almost two years, but it's hard to believe that things could really change so fast. I mean, off years happen, but an off year for Teays is, like, getting third instead winning. I'd also be surprised to see Marysville do really well in this field, but like I said I've been away from the circuit for a while.
I've been a huge fan of Crete since I first saw them at Dekalb in 2005, so I hope they do really well. Finday is always in an interesting circumstance, because I really think where they place depends on who's judging them. People tend to have very strong feelings about FFE, and there is a group of judges out there who have historically judged their choreography very harshly. With the right judges, it certainly isn't impossible, or even improbable, that they could win best vocals but come in third overall. Much stranger things have happened. I've never seen EEE or Sulivan, so I don't feel comfortable doing a ranking, but I'd guess you'd see, and I hope I get to see if I end up attending, a field that looked like: FFE, EEE, Teays, FC, Sullivan, and Crete.
Well, judging from Marysville's last year, I think that they are on the right road! They went from one win in 2005, to FOUR wins in 2006, one of them being Edgewood! They've beaten top notch groups like Findlay, Mt. Zion, and Hurricane!!! They have quite a shot this year!

GC - EEE/Findlay
1RU - EEE/Findlay
2RU - Marysville - they ROCK more than they are given credit for!
3RU - Franklin Central/Sullivan/Crete-monee
4RU - '' ''
5RU - '' ''
I'm hearing that Teays isn't doing too well this year. Don't take it personally though!
And, I have a feeling that Crete is gonna bust something special out this year. GO CRETE!!!
"Faces" are OBVIOUSLY going to win the women's devision!!!
hey thank you and yea crete has actually been doing pretty good so far...so thanks 4 the support
Yes, for the first time in 3 years, we will be having a night show. The last two years we havent been able to have the Jr Highs in the auditorium because of air conditioning and construction reasons. But this year there WILL be a night show.
I would LOVE to see Crete Monee make finals here! This field is pretty tough for early Feb. Good Luck to everyone!
First off, are there actual finals this year???
Second,
GC - EEE/Findlay

2RU - Marysville - they ROCK more than they are given credit for!
3RU - Franklin Central/Sullivan/Crete-monee

I don't believe that line-up is final. But if Fairfield came too, it could be a finals full of Ohio Schools.
If this ends up being final, my predictions are:
GC: Findlay "First Edition"
1RU: Eisenhower "Elite Energy"
2RU: Marysville "Swingers Unlimited"
3RU: Franklin Central "F.C Singers"
4RU: Teays Valley "Prominent Rendition"
5RU: Sullivan "Singers"
I believe that the bottom 3 could all be interswitched with Crete, Chesterton, or Shelbyville. This is a very tight competition and no Single-Gender or varsity groups can make finals.
good lineup - it's a pleasant surprise to see Findlay and Medina pop up so unexpectedly.
i'm also very curious to see how Marysville will stack up against both Eisenhower and Sullivan. the three schools last competed together at Mt. Zion 2005, but with significant changes having taken place in programs within the past two years, results should be at the very least interesting.
