Wondering when you were going to get on here. Everyone has been raving about your solo, and you haven't been around to see it.

Davenport Central's "Ping Pong" matrix in 2004 was the coolest thing I have seen in forever. I should post it on YouTube. It just doesn't show up to well on the video.

OMG THAT WAS THE BEST THING EVER!!!!!!!!

I thought the Final Countdown band should've won in last year also. Those kids deserved that. But the guys that were on the Stupid Student Trick panel were pretty lame themselves.... so go figure.

I remember that act vividly. I'm almost certain it was from Central.

Man, that was so good.

I don't know if "Final Countdown" band was Davenport Central or not (we went to Jefferson last year). All I know is Davenport Central almost always takes home the Stupid Student Trick Grand Prize. They have some fun stuff they do.

I just wanted to throw out there that i think the "final countdown" band should've won the stupid trick award last year..... that was one of the highlights of my entire show choir career. I had to let that out cause i've been thinking about this for a year and they pumped me up so much and had so much energy busting the apple on his forehead and running throughout the whole crowd. I don't think I'll see/hear a better rendition of the "final countdown" in my entire life even if i saw Europe themselves perform it.

"Final Countdown" band, whoever you are.... I salute you for sharing your energy with everyone! I hope you are still doing your thing. " border="0" alt="thumbsup.gif" />

And to everyone attending Mo-Show this year....... HAVE LOTS OF FUN AND GOOD LUCK! It was a great way for me to end my career last year!

Well one forecast says high of 45 degrees partly cloudy.... 40% chance of rain on saturday. sunday and monday are supposed to be REALLY nice and in the 50s. It looks to be pretty nice, not as nice as last year, but wasn't it suppose to rain last year???? Anyways, NO SNOW!

So you can figure out how to look up weather....you were struggling when we had that snow storm and UNL didn't.... " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Well, no snow is definately a nice thing. I'm sick of it.

Hopefully no rain or anything, and maybe 50's...

It seems to me that Mo Show always falls on a weekend that is bursting with beautiful warm weather.

lol well the cool people are only going for day round... lol jk. Mo-Show usually runs pretty close to on-time... finals of course is really unsteady timewise...

also the real awesome topic is the Jefferson topic (which has really just been invaded by the dreaded zookie)

no one is really talking about show choir anywhere... lol

Okay... am I the only one that is excited about this competition? Why no posts for 2.5 days?

I am in a bit of a quandary here. You see, I am involved in a production in downtown Cedar Rapids on Saturday that has shows at 2:00 and 7:30pm. Each show runs approximately 2 to 2 and a half hours. So, let's say that I get out of the auditorium at 4:30, I could be at Washington at probably 4:50. However, all of the competing choirs are over by that point. Again, I could probably be out of the theatre by 9:45 to Washington by 10, but if things are running on time, it will probably be over by then. I am looking for advice to see if anyone thinks it would be worth it to try, or would be willing to somehow delay the competition just for me (just kidding)? Thanks

I think it's going to go:

GC: In-Step
1st RU: Protege
2nd RU: Milton
3rd RU: Davenport Central
4th RU: CR Kennedy "Happiness"
5th RU: Linn-Mar "10th Street"
everyone agree with that??
also...In-Step will sweep all captions

p.s. for those of you who don't understand my sarcastic humor...I'm joking
I'm cheering for "10th Street" whoo hoo!!

At first im like "Are you serious", not to take anything away from the other groups. " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I'm not sure whether there will be 6 or 7 groups this year, as their aren't many open class varsity groups this year....

GC: Cedar Rapids Kennedy
1RU: Linn-Mar
2RU: Davenport Central
3RU: Milton
4RU: Cedar Rapids Kennedy "Protege"
5RU: Janesville Craig
6RU: Linn-Mar "In-Step"

Best Vocals: Kennedy
Best Choreography: Kennedy
Best Band: Kennedy or Linn-Mar

I really hope In-Step makes finals, because I would be very happy. I could see them beating Craig too. Also, 10th Street hasn't been that close to winning since 2003 (when they still weren't even that close). The only thing they were .5 off of Onalaska for 2nd place last year. In 2005, they were in 5th behind Kennedy until the high and low scores were taken out, and in 2004 they were in 4th behind Hastings until the hi-lo were taken out. I was also just EXTREMELY impressed by Kennedy at Great River, so I really do think (hope) they will win!
