That Tier 1 is FIRE!! This feels like a west coast championship (with the addition of Marysville to throw a wrench in it and make it even more exciting)

Is gonna be a wild ride all of the groups are great I could see marysville being in the top 3 if not top 2 depending on how things play out. I’ve seen Burroughs , marysville and Kennedy show and those three are all strong in their own ways. Still have to see Los Al and Burbank. I have to say I wish underground was in tier one they did well at hart last year against insync and are going against them and hart this weekend.

I like how both Burroughs and Kennedy are based off of old plays

Swingers unlimited is undefeated so far and having seen the show on YouTube they could be a big threat. I’ve seen powerhouses set just need to catch Los Al and insync. Is gonna be a tough competion all five of the tier 1 choirs are amazing I’ve also see EO’s show and is amazing as well. No matter the placements this is a treat for the show choir fans.

This seems to be the first time a non-California group has competed in the Tier I division (excluding virtually) since Oceanside started in 2018.

Marysville rarely competes against California groups so it's hard to say what the outcome will be. The last time Marysville went up against one of the big 3 was at HOA NYC in 2023 where they placed 2nd to Los Al. Marysville has a fantastic show this year so I'm very excited to see them compete here!

I'd venture to say that Marysville competes against choirs from California about as much as any non-West Coast group. They have 8 times in the past 15 seasons (Oceanside will make it 9 times in 16 seasons). While that's not every season, that's still pretty often with all things considered.

Swingers Unlimited also goes to at least 6 competitions every year making it only 9 times out of at least 96 competitions over 16 seasons which is still rare! Either way I’m sure Marysville is excited to be treated to watch 3 of the best schools in the nation.

Sure! I suppose if you count individual competitions it may appear that way. I don't think that's a particularly... helpful way of framing the data. Pretty much every non-West Coast choir would have an extremely small number in that case. And in reality, it's not really all that rare for West Coast groups to travel once a season or for a few Midwest groups to go to a California competition. It definitely happens, and some groups do it more often than others. I think Marysville is one of the choirs who often throw their hat in the ring against tough competition and that's really all I was trying to highlight.

Full schedule added for this massive three-day, 50 choir competition! A couple of fun things of note: there's an elementary school show choir in exhibition on Thursday, and the local groups will get an incredible treat with the inclusion of Marysville "Swingers Unlimited" on Saturday, who are making the trek out to California from Ohio! Here are some additional schedule details:

Thursday:
4:20pm - Jefferson Middle School "Songbirds" (exhibition)

5:40pm - Oceanside "Soundwaves" (exhibition)
6:15pm - Middle School Mixed Tier II Awards
6:30pm - Lakeside Middle School "Adrenaline" (exhibition)
8:10pm - Oceanside High School "High Seas" (exhibition)
8:40pm - Middle School Mixed Tier I Awards

Friday:
7:00pm - Mixed Tier VI and Treble Tier V Awards
10:25pm - Treble Tier III and IV Awards

Saturday:
