after seeing this schedule, i can say with the tiniest amount of confidence who i think the six finalists will be. again, this prediction will probably be edited/completely flipped on its head as this amazing competition approaches, but i do think there is some clarity as to who has what it takes to make it to finals competition.

-Clinton
-Eisenhower
-Findlay
-Hurricane
-Marysville
-Piqua

the wild card here is Zionsville. last year they were a finalist, but if they show the same level of preparation as last year, they most definitely will not be. however, they finished their season with a very strong showing at competitions after Fairfield, so i wouldn't doubt that this year they will be much cleaner in time for Fairfield. of course Beavercreek and Franklin Central are the two other obvious choices for finalist groups, but with the SCA-inspired judging panel, i really think the six groups i selected have the best shot.

Ouch! I feel bad for FC having to perform RIGHT after Clinton.

I'm so excited!

My thoughts

GC: Clinton
1st RU: EEE
2nd RU: Marysville
3rd RU: Findlay
4th RU: Hurricane
5th RU: Piqua/Zionsville/Franklin Central/Beavercreek!!!

Everyone already knows that Clinton will take the Champion. Though I do believe Clinton is beatable, there are many others who don't. A few years ago Huntington North was literally 1/2 point behind Clinton in prelims and actually outscored them in some areas. Yet in the end Clinton won on their name. I'm not saying Clinton is bad, I have seen them and was thoroughly impressed, I just think they are overrated sometimes. After Clinton getting GC, the rest of the spots are all up for grabs. I firmly believe EEE, Marysville, Findlay, Clinton, and Hurricane will make finals, but it's that last spot that will be the toughest spot to get. Beavercreek just beat Dekalb at Findlay and won GC, Zionsville beat Center Grove last year at Huntington North, Piqua has won GC's the last two weekends in a row, and Franklin Central is consistently awesome! It is going to be a tough competition and I would hate to be one of the judges because these are going to be difficult decisions. I would love to see EEE or Findlay take it all, but I don't think that will happen. But whatever the outcome, I wish all the groups the best of luck and I hope everyone has fun and enjoys the copmetition! Because it's one that is going to go down in show choir history!

I completely agree with everything you just said. Definately is going to be a hard competition to make finals at... Reminds me a lot of Danville last year... Hopefully not with the same results...

Jay, In case you haven't figured it out... I don't give a (bad word) what people on this website think of me. If i did, i wouldn't post, but Just because i speak my mind is no reason to hate me... and the only time i complain about the misfortunes a lot of groups face... Iowa groups coming to indy to compete vice versa, FC's problems, Burbanks issues with competiting with groups completely opposite them... The only time i complain about it is when it's brought up by someone else... Really, go read the threads where i (bad word)ed you off and take a look at who really started it. I just get the attention because i post a lot, and my posts are normally all the same.

Wait a minute... Jay? Didn't you even have to change your name on here before because ppl were sending you angry emails and wouldn't listen to what you were saying?

Whatever guys, Grow up... i never try to start arguments... you all take things out of context and get offended...

Scott,

Yet again you have NOOOOOOOO idea what you are talking about.... I changed my name to an inside joke in Momentum, not because my inbox was full of angry e-mails. But anyways, you may not start fights all the time, but you for sure can't let anything go. I'm surprised you haven't had a heart attack, you are such an angry man. You act like a freakin 2 year old. You always feel like you have to say the last word. Just shut it! Lastly, for the most part, everyone that knows me on this site loves me. There are a few people that might possibly have a reason to not like me, but I have apolegized to all of them.

BTW I'm so sorry this topic has gotten sooooo off-topic!
