if you had any real clue you'd realize that Franklin Central has a HUGE history of being Effed, not just what i bring up in your petty little comments about your little prep group mishap. a few good examples below...

FAME Branson 2005... Franklin Central was less than 2 points away from clinton ahead of totino and Burroughs... Finals came, they added a 7th judge... rankings for franklin central if i remember right (wish the archives were up) were 2,2,3,2,1,2,7 the 7th judge who HATED the novelty number which we all love and know so well, put FC in 7th place i forget which...that put franklin central .5 points away from taking totino out of finals... SO i'm not just being petty its the way things happened... thats it.

Homestead 2006:

Daytime: Franklin Central took Best band, best choreo and best vocals. had Laffeyette Jefferson by 4 points.
Nighttime: added a 7th judge (who mysteriously was the only judge to place franklin centrals girls group lower than 1st place (4th place)) to the finals panel. FC ended up inproving their show by 12 points... and still ended up in 2nd. when in everyone i've talked to's opinion, they were obviously the better performance that night. Later on the FC singers recieved an apology letter from the judge in question after fellow adjudicators apparently got after him/her. not to mention Mr. Griffel after he got the scoresheets.

Wapakoneta 2006:

Daytime; Every judge judged their own field... Vocals, Band, Choreo, when judges scored sheets catering to their expertise, Franklin central came out ahead by over 10 points SWEEPING all captions, Vocals, Choreo, Band and show design from teays valley.

Nighttime; Every Judge judged all fields of performance. Each judge scored Vocals, Choreo, and band on their scoresheet. When changing the scoresheet and adding a judge, franklin central with what everyone thought was a HUGE step up from the day show, ended up in a DEAD TIE situation with Teays Valley. rules stated that the tie breaker would be Nighttime vocals... That was a dead tie... in the crazy event that that happened, the rules stated that the tie would be broken by night time chore. Teays valley had the highest nighttime choreo score by .5.

So kiosho jake... before you make an assumption. get the story from someone who was there... anyone who has been in Singers, or who has followed indy show choir for any length of time, knows that FC has always had the short end of the stick. So stop acting like anyone who knows anything thinks that the Danville incident where your prep group beat FC thinks of it as FC getting screwed... We all know it was just a fluke!

i would double check that first, as last year, Rutherford did the video. and i can't imagine you'd want anybody else doing it - the quality on last year's video was pretty exceptional.

I think even tho I won't be attending I will buy a DVD.

I disagree with you on these... For the simple reason is that Marysville's show was awarded Grand Champion what 4 times? Against some powerhouses and not such powerhouses...They beat Hurricane, and then Hurricane came back and kicked their butts at the Crystal Classic.

Findlay is and was awesome this year! They're upholding J.D. Smith's legacy with their new Director (Kevin Manning). Andy gave them a great show this year so I wouldn't count them out ;)

I TOO want to know where they were "screwed"

Marysville never impressed me last year, although I think they are a growing threat for being one of the best in the nation, I didn't think they were anything special last year, besides the fact that I liked their opener, I mean pocahantas, who does that? its was amusingly good. but the rest of the show was blane and nothing great, hopefully their show will be better this year, and it needs to be to be more competitive against the other groups. I have hope that they will surpise me, but i don't think it will happen at this competition.

Findlay, i hear is a great choir, never seen them live, seen videos, I think they could be great, but I'm not sure if they will exactly cut it as much as they need to against some of these great choirs.

I never knew Eisenhower had problems with vocals in the past. Would you like to point out a few competitions you are refering to?

And Franklin Central, do you have examples of how they have been "screwed over so many times"?

Eisenhower needs to be incredibly on vocally to be able to get anywhere in finals, choreo wise they are always clean and great, I'm just worried to see how vocally they will compete. I believe that they will pull it together especially for this competition.

Franklin Central has been screwed over so many times in the past, sometimes it was the group's/band's fault, sometimes it was questionable judging, I'm sure Franklin Central has learned from their past and will put together and produce an amazing show. Their lack of consistency was their problem last year, but they will definately be out for blood here. Although I have had many unfriendly encounters with FC students, I believe that they will be on their best behavior this season on stage and off, because, from working with many judges, they do notice what students are doing between shows and sometimes even during shows if its that bad.
