Haley, I told Seth you said hi, and he says hello. To be honest, it took him a minute to remember who you were, but he assures me he remembers you. Something about pop tabs... I don't know. But he says hi.

Everyone did a magnificent job on Saturday. Congrats to alll participants. I did not get a chance to see edgewood hopefully sometime this year I will but.... some judging was to be questioned but its over now can't change it. BUT i think the BEST group of the day had to of been Marysville's own Swingers Unlimited. If they were in their own comp. it would have been a battle for the top 3 spots, and Teays you might of had a very good group breathing down ur neck for that Grand Championshiop. Congrats to Marysville for being AMAZING i love your show keep rockin, this is a show choir to look at for!!!

Thank you very much Verizon8, that is very nice to hear, I am very glad you enjoyed our show, may I ask what group you are with?

Hmm, well...

Your opinions are respected, but who exactly are you talking about haley? It's not the group that has the ego, it's certain people in it. As for saying people are judging on the name of the group, that's mostly because they are basing off what they have seen and groups that have been popular for the past years.

Edgewood, I didn't get to see your show, but I want you to know your show repetoire is freakin' awesome and even though you are just now getting fairly known, I can see you becoming very tough competition this season from what I've heard about your show.

EDIT:

Off topic, but I need some information for the Piqua Invitational. If you are from Bishop Luers, please message me with information on your Show Choir such as repetoire, competition title, school colors, etc... Thanks!

why even have judges at a competition? some of you could do the same job before hand just by hearing the name of the group...rather than how much a group progresses throughout the year and actually enjoys what they are doing...

its a shame that some of these groups have such big egos...i mean most of your parents are there...did they not teach you anythign? :-\ i can guarentee if there were points for citizenship...some groups would not be taking home those grand chapion trophies...

hey i'm sry to those I offended from Edgewood, like i said b4 i did like their show a lot. I liked pretty much every aspect of it, especially their 2nd number and ballad. it is great that they got where they did cause it is a big placing for them. Like i said before i was pleasently surprised by them, and they have one of the shows that i would definatly like to see again, and i'll be pulling for them when i go to watch Piqua's competition. but my maryville opinons are just my opinions. In the end it doesn't matter cause what happened happened, and the people who matter (the judges at that particular comp) thought that they were that good at that comp. So sorry for those i offended, those are just my own opinions. Anyway good job to Edgewood and good luck to them the rest of the season :0)

i agree.... they are opinions.... some ppl are gonna like ya... and others wont... thats life for ya... me personally im not taking anything away from edgewood... cuz they were some of the coolest kids there... especially during the prelim awards... they were fun to watch.... but i did watch everyone at finals....vocally i thought there were at least 3 groups that were better... choreo wise... i thought the same way... and im alumni .... if i gave you guys dirty looks... im sorry....cuz... show choir is just for fun... if it was me i would of placed u guys 4th or 5th....but i think its awesome that you all did so well... keep up the good work and just put everyone's negative comments behind you

I too would like to say that it is upsetting to read about how people say you shouldn't place because your show wasn't as hard as the others in the finals. HOW DO YOU KNOW? If you aren't a part of the group you don't know how hard the show is. If a show is done well it is challenging for the group performing it, yet plays up to their fullest abilities. I didn't know that shows had to be difficult, with lots of dance breaks and complex choreography in order to do well. I think you might want to tell judges about that who give you 90% vocal comments on your tapes. Schools work year after year on improving what they are doing in the area of show choir. What has happened here is a group that you never ever dreamed could come up and do so well has done it. I congratulate them for continuing to work and focus on making themselves better...isn't that what all the groups are supposed to be doing? I know that many, many, many groups have had their up years and down years. About 10 years ago who was Teays Valley? Colerain disappeared for many years from competing. I could go on and on with groups who have worked and worked to get into the top 6 of competitions. What has happened is we are so used to hearing the same names in the finals again and again a new school has succeeded in reaching that very difficult and challenging goal that we act like country club snobs and turn our noses up at what we think is riff raff from the other side of the show choir tracks. That's really sad on everyone's part who puts comments on this web site. If you truly are supportive of each other as everyone presumes to come across then congratulate those who do well each weekend and accept that for that competition those 6 schools succeeded, and we all know it will be totally different the next week. Be very careful of what you say, who knows when a down year could hit a show choir close to you! I bet Edgewood is loving the moment right now and they very well should be basking in the weekend glory, I also bet they were extremely kind to the other groups in the finals because groups who are honored to make the finals and don't take it for granted are the groups in my book who are the best no matter what the scores or web sites say!

okay edgewood....who is that couple, for the second number, center, front row? Okay, you guys were so amazing to freaking watch. Yea I was surprised at the outcome. I think some people don't think you deserve to be up there a large part because of the dificulty of your show. Maybe you don't have the choreography and big dance breaks as some groups, but I for one know how hard it is to have character on stage, and you guys certainly had that! Like it was my favorite show of the day! I can't wait to see you guys again this weekend!

Hey Everyone! Great Job this weekend to all who competed and those who made finals!!! Everyone's Show was great!

It kills me though.....being in Edgewood's show choir.....we too were suprised with the outocme of the competition.....but happy about it......then to come on here and read things like "we aren't anywhere near the same level as other choirs" or how people were talking about us and our show.....that's hurtful. Especially to be walking in the hallways and get rude comments or dirty looks. Not to mention having alumni from other schools saying extremely rude things right beside us when we heard 2nd place.....that's horrible.... I know it's a competition but geez.....be friendly...I wouldn't treat people like that.....Especially when we were congradulating people and they didn't even look at us....what's that about.....The judges must have liked something to place us where we ended up.....I'm not trying to come across rude.....but some people can be so mean....and that's not right......

On another note.....thank you to the people who were nice to us, and complimented us.....it means a lot.

Once again great job to all the schools that participated....but can't we just be happy for each other....
