Now I know this might look janky as hell but hear me out. GC to 3RU is going to be close, if you look at Ankeny over the past 4 years they have grown exponentially. They beat Waukee and almost beat Johnston at SEP last year. They are also known for having incredible ballads in their shows. Now I ranked Linn-Mar at 2RU because I feel like they had one really good year in 2018 but they are now falling.
Edit: Also no matter who wins it will not be a sweep

Great analysis. But I just have to say that Linn-Mar 2019 was every bit as incredible as 2018's show!! One of the best of the Midwest, in my unimportant opinion.

You're right though, that Ankeny is getting better and better.

Both shows are incredible in different ways. It's hard to compare them, because while they're both character shows with extremely cohesive stories, each group approached their singing and dancing in very different ways to fit the theme.

I agree with Sam that I don’t think Linn-Mar fell one bit last season. I have seen every Linn-Mar show live since the mid-90s and the past two were two of the very best. However, both were highly artistic shows, and left tastes in the audiences’ mouths, and the audience was left to decide whether they liked it or not. I only expect more of the same brilliance in the future as the program continues to grow and solidify into the powerhouse it looks to become.

Maybe Xaiver?
