We just updated times on the website (www.fairfieldcrystalclassic.com) - there were some incorrect warm-up transit times and we have finalized our solo competition of 48 soloists! We are super excited. Our food menu is now finalized and tickets can be purchased through the website (which allows you to bypass the long lines at the doors.) If you need anything, please feel free to e-mail [email protected]!

Aww... I was going to a St. Patty's day thing and keeping updates with Fairfield and watch the groups perform, that's disappointing

Sorry! It's just very difficult as we are running three venues at once and like I always say, 'There's nothing like the LIVE performance!' Hopefully you can attend next year on March 16th, 2019 for our 21st Annual Fairfield Crystal Classic!

I might as well make a prediction

Large Mixed -
GC: Franklin Central (Best Vocals)
1 RU: Naperville North
2 RU: Loveland (Best Choreo, Best Band)
3 RU: Ross / Medina / Shepherd Hill
4 RU: Medina / Ross / Olentangy / Shepherd Hill

I know that the last two spots are cheating, but that’s because I think this one is gonna be really close between the 3 RU and 4 RU spots which makes them big toss ups. I love when predictions are so hard to make, because it’s a testament to how talented and well matched the groups are!

Small Mixed -
GC: Bishop Dwenger
1 RU: Norwell
2 RU: Shelbyville
3 RU: Nitro
4 RU: Buckeye Valley

I can’t really comment on captions because I’m not really sure of how most of the groups here actually look or sound because I’ve never seen them. I’m sure that this one is also gonna be really close, and any group could honestly take the GC.

Women’s -
GC: Loveland (sweep)
1 RU: Naperville North/ Franklin Central/ Olentangy

I think that Allure is going to take this because they’ve had an extremely dominant season this year, and look and sound like fire! I also included the She-notes because they really impress me, especially because it’s their first year in existence. Naperville North and FC are both phenomenal programs and have had a dominant season this year as well. Once again, another division which is gonna be super close. These predictions are too difficult for me!

Middle School -
GC: Bunsold (Best Vocals)
1 RU: Loveland (Best Choreo, Best Band)

I saw both of these groups at Olentangy and I was SHOOK that they were middle school groups. Both are extremely advanced for their age, but I think that Bunsold is gonna edge out Loveland in vocals, which will be enough for them to secure the GC. For the 500th time, this one is gonna be close.

Jeez I feel like I just spent 15 minutes typing this up and all it says is “I have no idea what’s going to happen at this competition.”

Predictions for Crystal Classic:
Large Mixed:
Franklin Central - Grand Champions
Naperville - 1st Runner Up Best Vocals
Loveland - 2nd Runner Up Best Choreography/Best Band
Ross - 3rd Runner Up
Midlothian - 4th Runner Up
Shepherd Hill - 5th Runner Up
I haven't seen the Small Mixed groups this season so I'll abstaining my predictions on them at this time.
I don't know how many groups qualify for finals so I'm guessing the top six.

This one is lining up to be a fantastic (as always) competition. Can't wait to see the spunk Mercer brings to this event.

We have exciting news we are finally ready to release! Not only will Large Mixed and Small Mixed have finals, but so will Single-Gender AND Middle School! We will have 2 slots for Middle School, 2 slots for Single-Gender, 5 slots for Small Mixed, and 5 slots for Large Mixed! The competition this year looks amazing - we can't wait to see the battles that take place on stage!

I think this is just wonderful! I always miss some of the best Single-Gender groups and/or Middle School groups and now not only do I get to see them, but they'll get the chance to perform at night like no other competition in Ohio. That being said, looks like finals won't end until 2am this year

Just for clarification: there will be a finals for 2 Single-Gender groups completely separate from the large mixed? Meaning no Single-Gender groups will be competing against mixed groups.. is that correct?
