Burroughs never leaves California, and finally they choose to leave... and they go here?!
"Powerhouse" has actually had an out of state competition 14 of the last 15 competitive seasons. Each year since 2003 they have either competed at a national competition like FAME, Showstoppers, or SCN or at a regional competition like Fairfield, Wheaton, Andover, and now Hanover. The only recent year in which they haven't competed out of state was 2011 when they went to China. Burroughs deserves all the credit for fundraising, getting new experiences for their kids, and throwing their hat in the ring all over the place. Clinton similarly does this with one out of region trip a year, but there are plenty of other elite programs which barely travel out of their region let alone their own state.

As to why they chose Hanover, I don't know. It's relatively close to D.C., so they very well may be making stops there in addition to the competition.

Ok but imagine just happily swimmin' through your normal east coast season and then Burroughs shows up from across the country and leaves you SHOOK and causes a minor earthquake with those vocals tho

Manchester's Capital Swing will be there!

Looking forward to another year at The Festival of Choirs! Great energy in that auditorium ALWAYS! On top of a great crew that keep everything running smoothly and beyond accommodating hosts of boosters, parents and students of Hanover and Lee Davis HS!

Looks like we may be getting a visit from a certain "Powerhouse" from the West Coast!!??

Dear Higher Beings of the Show Choir World,
Let there be truth in the above inference/statement.
Thank You,
The ENTIRE East Coast
