Why are they doing it in the auditorium instead of the gym like last year?

You know, I think that bit about it being in the auditorium might be a misprint.

If you click here on the map - it shows the gym as being the show choir performance center.

Do none of these groups have students who compete in All-State Speech?

our school isnt big into speech. when i was in highschool we always had members out of rehearsals/comps due to wrestling/swimming/mock trial (sometimes). mainly sports

they performed again last night with the additional song (the closer), and im pretty sure they added in the new ballad. they also performed for exhibition at their invite last weekend, which going off of that (being up all day). i'd say they did the best i've seen/heard johnston do being so early in the season (inno is usually a february/march peek group). so its good that they dont compete for another 3 weeks.

hoped you liked their show. they were skeptical at first, but after the good feedback they're finally starting to really get into it.

oh yeah, i saw what they had at johnston and i LOVED it. they are a legitiment contender everywhere this seaons, and i cant wait to see them again.

I'm pretty sure that ankeny wont be there. Also, how have you seen johnston's show? They haven't even performed their whole show yet, much less competed anywhere...

I'm not going to judge RESULTS. but Im getting the vision that Ankeny, Johnson, Linn-Mar, Jefferson will all make finals-no problem-as they all have SPECTACULAR shows. i otherwise dont know who the last three spots will be held by. I havent seen Center-Point Urbana or Benton or IC West yet so I can't judge. Does anyone know if they still having those awards that are like "Best Ballad" "Best Comedy Number",etc?

If I remember correctly CR Kennedy only had 5 finalists at the comp last year. So I would expect the same this year, but you never know.

I am going to save my predictions, atleast until the week before the competition.

Johnston was AWESOME this past weekend at their competion. They rocked the house and sang and danced really well. I would put them higher, they rock this year!
GO JOHNSTON!~

i agree. depending on Jefferson's vocals in the first half of their show. otherwise IC West could beat them....

BV: Linn-Mar (they are great)
BC: Linn-Mar or Jefferson (Jeff's can be really good too)
BB: Jefferson

Jefferson really isn't that bad this year. I was really impressed with their show and choreography at Milton. The vocals need work, but I think people are bashing on Jefferson for no reason. They are not that bad. They are just inconsistent (mostly with vocals).

its cool to hear that, but there is no way i could actually start thinking about htat unless it happens. i mean, they may be having an off year, but still, its feakin CR Jefferson. I'm gonna stand by my earlier predictions on this one.
