So.....I've heard from two friends two different finalist orders. I figured I'd post their input to add to the comedy that seems to be this competition's reporting skills here on this site.
Friend A:
Lincoln East, Ralston, Grand Island, Millard North, Bellevue East, and two other groups but one of them isn't Elkhorn.
Friend B:
York, GI northwest, Millard north, elkhorn, Lincoln east, Ralston, and they don't remember the other one.
GC: Millard North (BC, BB)
1RU: Elkhorn (BV)
2RU: Grand Island NW
3RU: Lincoln East
4RU: Blair
5RU: Bellevue East
6RU: York
Again, just a blind prediction. I believe the top four will be very close. Grand Island Northwest always performs very well at the beginning of the year and it would be cool to see them hold their own amongst high ranking groups such as Millard North, Elkhorn and Lincoln East. I have heard Millard North dances very well and has been working a lot on vocals since their premiere, but I don't know too much about any other group besides what I have seen in years past. Not sure if they will sweep, but not how to distribute captions. Anything could happen! This competition is known for its upsets so I'm very excited to see what happens! Good luck to everybody! I will be at Ankeny this weekend but I will see most of you within the next month. Make memories and perform your hearts out!
An updated schedule has been posted. There were a lot of time shifts and changes in performance order, but most notably Lincoln Northeast is no longer attending and Grand Island Northwest was added.
This is so hard because I honestly haven't seen most of these groups in years. Most of these predictions are based off last year's results, so they are bound to be wrong!
