Rian Whitman is a freelance arranger currently residing in Westerville, Ohio. He is a 2005 graduate of Charles F. Brush High School and was a four-year member of the Soundsation show choir. He went on to study Vocal and Instrumental Music Education at Youngstown State University and Ohio Christian University, proudly a member of esteemed choral groups and trumpet studios. Rian was the co-director of the Teays Valley Show Choirs in Ashville, Ohio, and Medina Show Choirs in Medina, Ohio. His choirs have amassed several caption and placement awards in 4 different states.
Currently, Rian arranges for several show choirs around the nation. These groups have consistently earned finals appearances, caption, and Grand Champion accolades. Collectively, he has been involved in show choir for the last 24 years; whether it’s performing, arranging, directing, adjudicating, or providing show clinics.
Rian’s favorite part of life is being a dad to Shiloh and a husband to MacKenzie. For the few moments he gets to spend outside of show choir, he loves to travel, ride roller coasters, and golfing.
