Hello all,
I just wanted to say thank you to all who were in the audience for Davenport North's Finals show this past weekend. The power outage and subsequent save by the cell phone lights was an amazing finish to a what could have been a disaster. It is a testament to all of the competitors who stepped up to help a fellow choir in their time of need. What a great memory for our kids to experience such a rush! Congrats to all of the choirs, good luck the rest of the year and most of all thank you!
There was nothing wrong with the lights. The entire building lost electricity, I assume the fault of the local utility. Yes, it was awesome how everyone used their phone to light the place up.
This is absolutely incredible. And I'm sure the video doesn't even do it justice. Props, Davenport North. This is definitely a moment to remember.
Ah sorry, my bad. My source was REAL wrong bahahaha. She has cancer so we'll forgive her
I'm assuming they are fixing the lights and so things will be getting behind? I don't know.
This is unsettling

I just love how a few people got out their phones as natural reactions to light up the stage and everyone followed. Such a cool moment that people will remember for a long time.
WOW! Those prelim results are all over the place! 1st place by one judge, 6th place by another. No one seemed to be on the page in regards to the groups except for Maybe Davenport Central otherwise the judges opinions were REALLY far spread out!

Does anybody else think this is possibly one of the most surprising weekends of show choir this season?? I'm not talking about this competition in particular but just across the board I feel like a lot of surprises happened yesterday
