I heard that the lights went out on Davenport Central and they just kept going. Finished the show with the stage lit my cell phones. Wow. Half impressed, half anxious for all the injuries that could've happened.

That was Davenport North, in finals tonight Though it did happen to Dav Central's prep group last year.

What time are final awards?? I'm assuming they are later than scheduled since daytime awards got delayed.

No. Vocals and Choreo were not awarded during prelims. They did however get best male soloist.

So many amazing groups at this competition. Congrats to all!

Muscatine received a 5th, 5th, and a 7th place ranking during prelims.

Wow I didn't see those coming, congrats to all groups who performed today, I'm sure it had to be close for some of those finals spots!

Also, I'd just like to say how throughly impressed I am with Davenport Central. I remember seeing them my first year of show choir in 2013 and then I just saw them last weekend at Davenport North. The steps they have taken to be where they are now is just phenomenal. They seriously get better and better every year I see them and obviously their results have proven it. Sorry, I just had to say that because I think they are a fantastic group that I think most seem to forget about and don't give enough credit to.

I thought the schedule said Top prep/small school gets a slot in finals?? No one is predicting that!
that's true. but the top scoring 3A, 2A, or prep group will make it in as the seventh finalist
