Coby grew up in the Kansas City area and currently resides in Los Angeles. He began dancing at the age of 15 with The Conservatory of Dance Education. After high school, he took a job dancing for Stiletto Entertainment on Holland America Cruise Line where he did three tours before moving to Las Vegas. He was quickly offered a job at the Rio hotel to perform in a show called "In the Sky." Moving back and forth from cruise ships to Las Vegas, Coby eventually landed a gig performing in the My Little Pony world tour, which led to the Sesame Street Live European tour. Coby later headed back to his midwest roots and took a job dancing in Branson in both the Dolly Parton Dixie's Stampede and Shoji Tabuchi shows.
Aspiring for more, Coby made the move to Los Angeles and has worked on the movie Gangster Squad, on television in a Budweiser Superbowl commercial and the show Community, and dancing in a music video for Lucas Gabriel. Coby also performed in the hit Vegas show Raiding the Rock Vault and most recently was the assistant choreographer on the new "Just Dance" video game.
When Coby is not performing, you can find him teaching at the world-famous Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, offering private dance lessons to A-list stars or choreographing throughout the country and visiting his home in Kansas City to teach at the new Empire Dance Academy there.
