Terry Hudson is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and has spent the past two decades as an educational consultant for the performing arts. He is the founder of The Performing Arts Doctor, formerly an educational consulting company for performing arts organizations and educational institutions globally.
In June of 2022, Mr. Hudson founded Skyhawk International University (SIU), a private university that transformed The Performing Arts Doctor into a conservatory of the performing arts as one of its colleges. SIU is currently in the process of gaining accreditation and anticipates its first graduating class in or around 2026.
Some of Terry’s latest projects include but are not limited to, technically directing A&A Ballet’s “Cinderella” the international tour, serving as the keynote speaker for The Michelle Obama School of Technical Arts “Institute Day”, adjudicating Show Choir Canada’s (SCC) “International Show Choir Competition” and adjudicating The Indiana State Music Association’s (ISSMA) “State Show Choir Finals” (Large Groups Division).
Mr. Hudson is a passionate advocate for the performing arts, and his work has had a significant impact on the field. He is a dedicated educator and mentor, and his students have gone on to achieve success in a variety of performing arts careers.
Terry Hudson is sought after as an educational consultant in the performing arts to present symposiums and masterclasses internationally. Mr. Hudson is an active show designer and choreographer and his choreography and show designs have been featured on network television to promote Glee in Japan.
