RIC GEIST, has been a part of Show Choir almost from the first. In 1971 he joined the Norwell Swing Set. A couple years later he performed in the very first Bishop Luers Swing Choir Contest. From there he followed his high school director Ronald Hellums, to Indiana State University. A member of the Show Choir community for 46 years, Ric promoted the Small catagories and several awards and rules that are now standard icons. He was well known as the Bellmont Director of two multi-award winning Show Choirs for 20 years. With his Masters from IU, Ric has received numerous teaching awards and has belonged to MENC and is a life member of the VFW. Well known for his acting and Broadway singing, Ric and his wife Beverly can be seen performing on the big stages in nearby communitues, especially at the Fort Wayne Civic theatre.
