Don Turoso has been educating students in Ohio for over 35 years. He has taught instrumental music at Massillon-Jackson, Glen Oak, Cuyahoga Falls, West Branch, Walsh Jesuit, St. Matthew's School, Shaker Heights, Malone University, Walsh University, Cuyahoga Community College, and Stark State University. He has degrees in music from Kent State University and the University of Akron. In addition, he has adjudicated contests and clinics for the Ohio All State Jazz Ensemble for American Music Abroad European Tour. Mr. Turoso performs professionally on woodwind instruments throughout Ohio. In the past he has toured with the big bands of Paul Anka, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, and Guy Lombardo. He is currently the lead alto performing with the Dave Banks Big Band. Mr. Turoso is currently a woodwind technician and teaches lessons at Academy Music Co. In addition he runs his own woodwind repair and customized mouthpiece business, D.T. Woodwinds, and teaches private lessons.
