Reginal Wright began his life as a musician as trombonist in his middle school band. A native of East Texas, Reggie is in his 16th year of teaching and serving his 8th year as lead Choral Director at Mansfield High School. Reggie received his Bachelors and Masters of Music Education degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University.
As an educator, Reggie has experience in urban and suburban districts and has earned many coveted awards including Who's Who Among America's Teachers and the UIL Sponsorship Excellence Award. Reggie has performed music in Vienna and Salzburg, Austria, as well as Munich, Germany, and throughout the United States. As a conductor, he is a sought after clinician in both Gospel and Classical genres. He has enjoyed the opportunity to conduct honor choirs for many school districts throughout Texas and Oklahoma. He also serves as a clinician in many Texas All State Choir Camps. His varsity women's choir performed at the 2012 Southwestern ACDA Convention. He has performed with community choirs Schola Cantorum of Texas and the Arlington Master Chorale. A newly published composer, Reggie has published works with Carl Fischer Music.
His professional affiliations include: American Choral Directors Association, Texas Choral Directors Association, Texas Music Educators Association, and Texas Music Adjudicators Association. He resides in Arlington with his wife, Renetta, and daughter, Reece.
