Abby is the Head Vocal Director at Sioux City East Middle School. She is a graduate of Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with a bachelors in vocal performance. Abby was the recipient of the Eleanor Basler Music Scholarship at Coe College. She received her teaching endorsement from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. Prior to her current position she taught middle school and high school vocal music in the Sioux Center Community School District where both levels of choirs received many high rankings. Abby is also the Northwest District Representative for the Iowa Choral Director's Association. She has served as 5th/6th Opus Chair and as the guest director at area honor choirs. She currently directs five curricular choirs and two middle school show choirs at East Middle. She is married with three very energetic children.
