Michelle Anthoney is a vocal music director in the Waukee Community School District. She is currently at Waukee Middle School, where she directs 7th and 8th grade choirs, Waukee Momentum show choir and provides voice lessons. Ms. Anthoney graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Music Education. In 2009 she completed a Master of Arts in Effective Teaching degree from Viterbo University. She is a member of the Iowa Choral Director’s Association and prepares students for various honor choirs throughout the state of Iowa. She is an active adjudicator for both ICDA and IHSMA.
Ms. Anthoney maintains a private piano and voice studio in her home. She also co-directs an after school choir program for the YMCA of Greater Des Moines. When not teaching, Ms. Anthoney enjoys spending time with her family and sight-singing.
