Thomas Hales is Fine Arts Coordinator of the Sioux City Community School District (IA), where he helps support arts programs in 22 learning centers. Prior to his appointment, he served a decade in high school choral music classrooms, the last six as Director of Choral Activities at Sioux City East High School.
A native of Columbus, OH, Mr. Hales holds degrees from Iowa State University (Music Education) and Michigan State University (Choral Conducting). Choirs under his direction have been invited to present solo performances at the Iowa Choral Showcase (2019), Dorian Vocal Festival (2020), and on the 2021 National Convention of the American Choral Directors Association.
