Mark is a retired public school band director and administrator of 34 years. Mark is currently the Director of Music for the St. James United Methodist Church in Danville, IL. Originally from Taylorville, Illinois, Mark received his Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Eastern Illinois University, where he studied trumpet with Harold Hillyer. His graduate degree is also from EIU in Educational Administration. Mark taught instrumental music in Highland, IN, Sullivan, IL, Hoopeston, IL, and Danville, IL. Mark has been a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator. He has conducted various District Jazz Bands and concert band festivals in Illinois. Mark has been an adjudicator of marching, jazz, concert, and show choir festivals.
