My name is Jamie McMahon and I am a choreographer and clinician based out of Los Angeles, California. I also dance and act professionally which is a strong asset for leading workshops in both choreography and improvisation. Short Bio:
Jamie McMahon was born in Chicago where she sang and danced her way to Sunny L.A. She began performing professionally at the age of eleven with a world premiere musical by Charles Strouse (Annie/Bye Bye Birdie) and went on to receive her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Millikin University. Since then she has appeared in the European Tour of Grease as Frenchy and Marty, and the National Tours of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as Reuben’s Wife, Red, Hot, and Blue, and for four years performed across the country as Mrs. Claus with The Radio City Xmas Spectacular starring the world famous Rockettes. She also had the pleasure of working as a guest entertainer with Holland America Cruise Line and for five years played ‘Busybee Who’ at Universal Studios, Hollywood for their Grinchmas special event. Jamie has also been featured on television shows such as: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (CW), Week Night Stands (DirecTV), The Four of Them (BratTV), Rich and Acquitted (Reelz), Solve (Youtube) and Extreme Measures (ID). Currently, she has a commercial running for Disney+ and has been featured in spots with Wayfair, Toyota, Boost Mobile, Harrahs, Matilda the Broadway musical, Robbins Brothers, Reader’s Digest, Ivory Soap, EHarmony, and Starbucks.
Because she has a desire to share her passion and excitement for the arts, Jamie choreographs musicals and show choirs both at the professional and high school levels. She has worked with programs in California, Georgia, Alabama, Indiana, Mississippi, Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois and her show choir groups have won Best Choreography and Grand Champion. Additionally, she has been nominated for Best Choreography with the National Youth Arts Awards for ‘Wizard of Oz’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, and ‘Music Man’; with Top Billing Entertainment.
As a clinician, Jamie has lead workshops in dance, acting, musical theater, and improvisation at numerous performing arts camps and schools. She has also adjudicated show choir and dance competitions and is grateful to inspire today’s youth through the performing arts.
