A former jingle singer for national commercials, Susan Moninger has been named to Who’s Who Among Teachers in America and enjoys judging classical, vocal jazz, and show choir competitions for middle school, high school and collegiate choirs. Susan conducts District, All County and All State choirs throughout the United States and has a broad range of training and experience in classical, jazz, and show choir.
She is the current ACDA Central Division Chair for Vocal Jazz and past chair for Show Choir has recently had articles published in ACDA and NAfME journals and can be seen in the London documentary: “Glee-ful: The Truth about Show Choirs.” Susan is a current member of SAG-AFTRA, Actors Equity Association, American Choral Directors Association, Jazz Educators Network and National Association for Music Education.
As Director of Student Choral Activities at Elmhurst College, Professor Moninger conducts the Elmhurst College Concert Choir, the Chamber Singers, which have sung with Andrea Bocelli, The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and appeared on an Emmy-nominated PBS television special. For the past 37 tears she has served as the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Showchoir Camps of America, where she focuses on teaching and refining singing, dancing, and performing techniques.
