Mark is an in demand music director, pianist, composer, arranger. conductor, music and theatre producer. His work has taken him from playing alongside Celine Dion on Oprah to stadiums with Sarah McLachlan and Il Divo. He was the Music Director for the Canadian Tenors (later the Tenors) for five years – arranging, conducting, orchestrating, and producing their multi-platinum selling albums, world tour and PBS specials. He is the co-founder and artistic producer of Toronto’s newest theatre company, Podium Concert Productions.
Marvin Hamlisch’s right hand in Toronto, Mark orchestrated, conducted, recorded and played piano with the great composer throughout the last ten years of his life. Among other projects, they created a major concert with Jane Krakowski, Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Martin Short.
Mark has worked with every major commercial producer in Toronto – he has music directed and performed in legit productions including “The Toxic Avenger,” “Dee Snider’s Rock N Roll Christmas,” the North American premiere of “Mamma Mia,” and “Dirty Dancing.” Mark was music director and on camera conductor for both seasons of the hit CBC show “Triple Sensation” (Produced by CBC/Garth Drabinsky).
Mark owns and operates his own recording studio – IMAGINE Sound Studios – and has recorded and produced over 100 albums for major performers, and recorded and composed scores for video games, TV shows, and international brands. His favourite concert experience was playing with Herbie Hancock.
