Shawn Porter is a Choral Director at Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Indiana, where he directs, co-directs or accompanies five choirs and teaches piano. Shawn received his bachelors degrees from Anderson (Indiana)University, his Master of Music degree from Ball State University and a second Master of Science degree in School Counseling from Butler University.
Mr. Porter’s all-female and mixed shows choirs were consistently named Grand Champions and received many caption awards in numerous contests, including Grand Champion at Showstoppers. His concert choirs were consistently ISSMA state finalists and received gold medal ratings in sight-reading. He is an active choral clinician and judge in the Midwest, a church choir director/organist a member of Music Educators National Conference and an avid traveler and runner.
