Theodore (Ted) Brimeyer is currently the Vocal Music Director at Urbandale High School. Mr. Brimeyer directs Urbandale Singers and Men's Concert Choir. He also directs Studio, the championship varsity show choir. Choirs under his direction have earned numerous Division I ratings at State Large Group Festival. This winter Urbandale Singers will perform as a featured choir at the 2016 NCACDA Conference in Sioux Falls.
Mr. Brimeyer completed a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University in 2010. He graduated with distinction from Iowa State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Music Education, minoring in German. He has studied conducting with David Rayl, Jonathan Reed, and James Rodde. His voice teachers include Molly Fillmore and Donald Simonson.
Cooking, being outdoors, and playing with his son and daughters August, Malley, Saffi, and dog Rufus are among his favorite pastimes. He looks forward to any opportunity to travel with his beautiful wife, Elyse.
