Thanks Jeff. I thought that's what it was but someone else told me differently. I hadn't written it down so I didn't trust my memory.

Thank you. It's been updated above. Out of curiosity, did Waconia end up coming down from Minnesota to compete? I was just surprised to not see "The Current" place since they seem to be an excellent group.
I'm pretty sure "The Current" from Waconia came in 3rd in that prep division just ahead of "Vitality."

9th grade winner -- Indianola
Women's winner -- Pella
2A/3A winner -- Pella
Prep -- 4th place Urbandale, 3rd place Indianola, 2nd place Davenport Central, 1st place Waukee

Also, outstanding female soloist was Elise Castro from Davenport Central, and outstanding male soloist was also from Davenport Central (I think Sam Callaway from their prep group)

Yeah it was a tough competition!! we had more points but Urbandale came out on top of us in Rankings! Congrats to all groups that performed!

I know for sure that CSI had rankings of 2, 2, 3, 4, and was actually 11.5 points ahead of Urbandale in Finals

Power Company will be competing at Hart and we are so excited to see all those great California groups and of course Häakon!!!!

Cant wait but not really looking forward to the 30 hour plus bus ride. My back is killing me already.

That's fantastic!! It's great to see more groups making a trip out west... although we do have some solid groups, our region is pretty isolated from the rest of the country and most of the students end up just seeing the same groups week after week. It's always a treat to be able to host someone new and add a fresh perspective to the mix. I know you will have a wonderful time out here.

I drove to Fairfield, Ohio (yes, drove) to attend the Crystal Classic in 2010 and know how excruciatingly long those cross country trips can be. I was in a giant box truck as well, which was probably no more comfortable than the bus you'll be taking. But those kinds of adventures always seem to be the best opportunities to make memories, right?

I don't know if their trip necessarily includes a show choir competition. According to their calendar, Power Company will be in Hollywood from March 10-18th and on the SCC Calendar there aren't any current California competitions listed during that time.
There are now.

Although the Los Al competition will likely be our highest profile competition this year (since Wheaton, Twinsburg, and Homewood will all be in attendance), Hart is actually the only event where Burroughs, Burbank, and Los Al will all go head-to-head together in 2013. That makes it a pretty major California event in its own right and it just so happens to be on the 16th. I wonder...

Des Moines Christian is looking forward to coming this weekend! We are hopeful that the snow doesn't ruin this competition for anyone! Good luck to all of the groups this Saturday!

Just an opportunity for illuminations and current to have their own overnight trip and travel a little further since power company is going to Cali alone this spring.

There are two performers in the current who serve as alternates for power company.
Power company was never considered to go to south east Polk. Just an opportunity for illuminations and current to have their own overnight trip and travel a little further since power company is going to Cali alone this spring.

Best of luck to all the groups on sat!!!
