or any show from this competition for that matter...

i want to watch it again but... no video. if someone has it, could you like email it in parts to me or something? haha, i'm having withdrawls.
Actually the directors normally do not want it put up until after the last competition. I have recorded videos in years past and have purchased videos from competitions and they have asked me to wait until after the last competition. I don't know if they still do this, but I'm sure they do. It's all about the element of surprise. And I, for one, completely agree. I think all choirs should wait until after the last competition to put up videos. It completely ruins it for me if I see a show online before I see it in person because I know exactly what's gonna happen. That's why I don't even go looking for videos until after competition season. Haha! And I do realize that there are lots of show choirs that everyone won't get to see live. But I still think it videos should be held until after the group's final competition.

I think that we're waiting to put it up until later in the season when they have every element put into their show

Sorry. But I have to agree with Scotty. You've gotta learn to edit dude!

I might have "worded" things wrong. I reread the post and it did come across a little cocky didnt it lol. I was running off about 2 hours sleep when I made that and didn't really say exactly what I wanted too, so I will offer an apology. Basically what I meant to say was congrats to everyone who worked hard (stage crew, band, choir, directors, designers, parents, everyone) and that goes for other choirs as well. Met some cool people and seen some people I met last year. I have nothing but respect for other choir groups and what they do. It takes a skill, talent, and guts, to go out and perform weekend after weekend. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears, go into making a show happen. I was not meaning to be cocky, even though my original post came across that way. I have great pride in what our org. does and see hardwork put in day in and day out. I have been doing this thing called show choir for 10 years now and never have I ever...EVER, seen a group of kids do what they do on stage. I have honored and blessed to be a part of what I think is the greatest choir on earth. I wouldn't have it any other way. So with that being said, Good luck to everyone as they compete, safe travels to all, and if your ever at a competition I am at (Albertville), then come say hey.

I loved Centerstage's politically charged show this year! You guys have been my favorite show choir for the past few years, keep it up!

I disagree! I think that the show, no matter what the intended meaning, has an underlying message about how we need an awakening in our society. We need to open our eyes to see the darkness and evil and do something about it. Even though "we didn't start the fire" we can still stop the spread of destruction.

Great job yesterday Centerstage. Very proud of everything you did and how we overcome difficult things at times. Prelims our guitar cut out and did'nt work, some other tech problems and just minor stuff but nothing we couldn't fix. Very excited for the year and all the competition we will be seeing. I will say this, I have been drumming for Centerstage for 10 years now, and NEVER have I EVER seen a show like this. I may be a little biased but, I'm also being honest. I have seen the Clinton's, and the Jones's and all the big name choirs, and what not and I will say, ya best watch out. Fair warning lol Good luck to everyone this year.

To help a little on one of the questions about Albertville's show, the song in which the girls undress a guy on stage is called "The Bomb." The lyrics to this song use and slightly manipulate several slogans used by various branches of the US military. Their show will come across differently to everyone, both audience members and performers alike. That may be why the director chooses to not "clarify" the shows. Someone might also consider the use of tv's for the backdrop. A show design created with that amount of detail is not going to just throw something in the back ground just because it's cool. They were put there on purpose.

Really Impressed with all the groups there, especially for how early in the season this competition was.

As a member of the CenterStage! team I am so thankful for the previous post. What we do in the show choir world is not just about notes, pointed toes and jazz hands. It is about making a positive difference in our world. These kind words are the accolades that are life changing. Thank you so much and God Bless!!

Okay.. I've heard that the director won't give an explaination about what the show means.. but I just need some clarification. I'm pretty sure it starts at the end and then goes to the beginning of the storyline. What does the girl in blue represent? Also, what does the globe that she carries off and puts back represent? The rest is kinda clear. All of the bad pieces of human nature will be the downfall of our kind. If we don't do something now and change the way we are towards each other then we will be the end of the world. Kind of a "where is the love?" type thing. If I'm wrong, let me know. OH! and another thing I was curious about was what was the song about "take your shirt off" talking about? Is that like how we find look down on anything that isn't "perfect" in the physical appearance of people?

Anywho, I met Kelly the last summer on the way to SCA and I loved her. She seemed so timid and sweet but yesterday she really surprised me. Her voice is amazing. I don't know much about the other soloists. She was the only one I knew personally. The show was AMAZING. The ballad made me cry in prelims and in finals. I heard a lot of people talking about how it really changed their outlook of how they treat people. I was really proud that something that could be considered "just show choir," made such an impact on people, especially high school aged kids.

I was very pleased to see that every group at this competition stepped it up and put on shows to be proud of!
