While Zionsville’s band is very very clean, they lack the power and dynamic contrast that FC’s band has. I can see Singers taking both BC and BB.

Why can you see singers taking BC? I do not know much about bands - but would definitely question Singers taking BC. Have you seen Carmel dance? They are given probably the hardest show-choir choreography in the country and have executed it flawlessly and consistently for years.

Hardest in Indianapolis probably, but there are some groups that have harder choreography this year (not a lot of them, but some). Have yet to see Burbank this year, but I’d imagine their choreography will be about that difficult knowing their choreographers. That being said, Carmel’s show is so well performed — vocals, choreo, energy, all amazing. Makes me think of WWS from back in my day (note that my day was the height of WWS). Dwight Jordan is Carmel’s choreographer this year, yes?

Pretty sure it's Dwight Jordan. His choreography has this relentless energy, and when a group nails it (like Carmel) it is so fun to watch.

Dwight Jordan
April James
Tori & Jared
Marah cover
Eric hayes
Bret Carol

All great choreographers and all of whom do the top groups across the country.

Dwight and April groups will dance u down. But the choreo caption is misleading. It’s not just choreo. Costuming and pictures and style are also considered. I wouldnt Say Carmel is Dwight’s best group. That would be MZ swingsations. But marysville and ambassadors do is choreo well.

I’m also old so take what I said lightly.

Dont' forget about Wheaton South. They are also choregraphed by Dwight, and they excute his choreo flawlessly. Take their 2018 show for example.

Randy Sage could also probably be added to that list of choreographers.

Carmel beat Mt Zion?

i somewhat agree with that statement. However, Carmel did get 1st this year at FC with best choreography and Mt. Zion got 5th. It would be awesome to see all those schools compete against one another. But at the end of the day, its all up to the judges and what they prefer. It not exclusively based 100% on talent.

Congrats to Carmel. Well deserved - I knew mixed group would be sweeping once I saw them on the live stream - and the girls group STEPPED IT UP in finals. Ballads are stunning from both groups. Carmel is the powerhouse of Indiana.

Final results posted. What an insane competition. Congrats not only to the winners, but also the other finalists. One of the top competitions of the year for sure.
