Wow, what a prelim! Just got home from being a spectator today, and I gotta give big props to all groups who I saw today; not a single bad show in the bunch! SUPER impressed with Green Bay East (how much do I have to pay to get some of your band members?! Holy cow can they play well.) Monona Grove’s show is crazy fun, and Peter and Wendy are electric; lots of great chemistry on stage! El Paso, your choreography is dope. Unique, stylistic, fun; so much fun watching you. Tomah—glad you’re getting recognized this year for the product you put out...fun, fast paced show that never drags. Reedsburg...love your show concept. Your ballad was fantastic...and shout-out to Mark for giving you some great choreo this year! West Salem, you can tell that you take great care in emoting whatever the lyrics/show dictate—as a Marvel nerd, I always appreciate Avengers. And of course Logan: you all know how much I love you. Always makes me proud to be one of your arrangers when I get to watch you perform. Stunning vocals and CLEAN choreo y’all! <3

Every group should be proud of their shows today. Every. Single. One. I know it sucks to miss finals, but remember that that is just the opinion of one panel of humans on one Saturday for 20 minutes, and you’re all so much more than just a score on a sheet! As a spectator with no stake in the game today, I can honestly say that every group had moments of brilliance on the stage.

Can’t wait to see how it shakes out tonight!

Congratulations to Monona Grove. On a side note, I was already excited for this season, but now I am even MORE excited, largely to seeing new groups shine (such as Monona Grove and Green Bay East). Cheers to everyone, we're in for a good season here.

Monona Grove's performance tonight was crazy good! The entire top 6 were each very enjoyable, but Silver Connection found a new level in their performance. Here's to a great season.
