I am probably going to start an argument by saying this, but here it goes anyways. I cant believe Northrop is still doing the two comps in one day junk. I honestly am stunned that FWCS administration is allowing them to drive all over the place with the current finances of the school system. Pick one comp and go to it.

Not that many show choirs in FWCS district anyways, plus we usually pay for it anyways just need the bus to take us. Itwas basically just a Day results thing that determined where we were going to be. Both Made nightshows. both had to preform last at eachone. We couldnt trade with the first group at norwell because they had curfew issues so we had to make a choice. It sucks but it happens. We love show choir and I rather go to as many places i can then be stuck at 1 place. :D Plus our Jazz Band won 1st at their thingy. :D Grats to them and Hope to see VS at Northridge :D

You should have more faith in your group!! (Also, you should stay for finals regardless of who is in it. I am always astonished at the number of people who don't stay for the best part.)

I do have faith in my group, and 99% of the time I do purchase the all day pass. In the future I will plan my day better. It was more of a personal scheduling issue, and I had hoped the venue would have honored my day pass. No big deal now, but irritating at the time.
As far as your last statement, realistically most parents will not stay for the night show if their kids are not in it.. off topic here, but just how things are.

Why do some venues charge different amounts for day show and night show? I was at Norwell and bought a day show pass. When our choir made the show, I went back to purchase the night show pass, they charged me the FULL $10 because I didn't initially buy the all-day pass. ($14) I understand this is a fundraiser, but I felt like I was being gouged. Fortunately my child is a senior this year, so I don't have to go back there.

Congrats to all the choirs that perfromed beautifully at this competition.

I figure its just better to buy the all day pass, if you stay, you save money, if you don't stay its only a few extra bucks that go to a good cause.

$15 no matter what is still a heck of a deal... a movie in our area is almost $10 and only good for one movie, $15 in show choir gets you a whole day of show choir!

I would say most competitions do the same thing, at least all the ones I've been to. It is cheaper to buy the full day pass, which is why you would do it. Unless you are literally shocked your choir made finals, you should just plan on buying the day/finals pass in the first place, especially if you are cheering for an esteemed group like Northrop. I think most people figured they'd be in finals at Norwell. Just something to learn for future competitions, I guess.

Northrop has an awesome JAZZ band and most of the musicians and many of the singer/dancers do both activities. This actually limits the amount of show choir competitions where Charisma is able to go. Performing in two competitions in one day is actually cheaper than going to a later competition out of state where charter buses would have to be commissioned. Many of those students were also in the Snider Jazz Fest in the morning, so that was a very long day, but the kids performed beautifully in all of the venues.

Way to go Varsity Singers. Now you need to work even harder for the upcoming competitions because they get more intense. Also Findlay you have always been a top notch group....
