Great show from Wheaton North. They just might beat Mt.Zion on the strength of their vocals. Ben Davis next up.

Wheaton North has a new director this year and I hear great things about them so far this year. Girls in Heels have made finals in the past and I think they could do it here again.

Always a fun time at a show choir competition!! Good luck, friends!

From Waubonsie's website regarding this competition:
If Sound Check makes finals, then Sound Check and the Combo will obviously need to stay for the finals performance. In this case....

kinda funny.

I chuckled, but then I remembered that sometimes great groups end up missing finals (Totino at Viterbo in 2009, I think, for example) so it's always good to preface statements like this. I would be genuinely shocked if WV didn't make it, though.

I wish I could be here for this contest! I have seen most of these groups live already this season. I am really interested to see how Wheaton North places with these traditional Illinois big dogs. They came out of nowhere this year. I think they will surprise people. WV has a strong show and should come out on top with a sweep. It will be interesting to see how Ben Davis and Bishop Dwenger do in Illinois.

Anyone have predictions?
