Update....Shepherd Hill's competition raised $2,208 in donations for Thirst Project. Practically, that means that EIGHTY-EIGHT people will get clean water for LIFE, because of the generosity of people at this competition!! Whether you gave a nickel, or a $20 bill......THANK YOU!!!!!
Literally brought tears to my eyes seeing all the schools together live and cheering each other on as New England does so well!
Thank you to the students for being well behaved, supportive and killing it on stage! Just amazed at the support you gave our new group Ignition! You made them feel so welcome! Thank You
On behalf of all the judges yesterday, I want to thank Shepherd Hill for throwing an EPIC event!!! It was fun, high-energy, well hosted, and SOOOO many shows that all of us on the panel loved! Becky, Bubba, and the entire SH team ran a top-notch event, that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a New England show choir weekend. Also, from the bottom of my heart....THANK YOU for hosting 3 Thirst Project Miracle Minutes! We raised nearly $450 in the middle school awards....Raised another $850 in the small mixed and Single-Gender awards....and we will be finishing the tally on the large mixed awards Miracle Minute later today! We've easily raised over $1,700 to help give clean water to suffering people in the African nations of Eswatini, Uganda and Kenya....what a beautiful legacy. IF YOUR SCHOOL WAS THERE, AND YOU'D BE WILLING TO DO A MIRACLE MINUTE AT YOUR UPCOMING CONTEST OR CONCERT, PLEASE E-MAIL ME AT [email protected], and I will hook you up! It costs nothing, takes 5 minutes, and show the power of show choir to change the world!! God bless, and thanks for a beautiful day!!
I followed along with the awards on the live stream and I just have to say, it is awesome for Shepherd Hill to have such special awards to honor the students. A brand new guitar for the best band winner? Scholarships for the soloist and instrumentalist winners? Very cool.
