Congrats to Director Andrew Budd of Columbus East Center Stage on his first GC as a director! He was my student director in my senior year show choir season! So glad to see him succeeding!

Tier II best band goes to South Dearborn. This was announced incorrectly as Austin did not qualify!

Great job to all the amazing choirs today. So happy to see some form of show choir this year!
Side Note- My bad if I got some names wrong! They announced best performers on their live so go check that out! They had about 10! Great job to those students!

Results are posted. They only announced the school for which the best soloists belonged to, not which specific choir, so Noblesville and Chesterton folks will have to let us know if the soloist belongs to your mixed or single-gender choir. Also, if you can provide the correct spelling of their name - we can fill that in too.

Congrats to Noblesville, Columbus East, and Franklin Central on their wins!

The Pendleton Heights Choral Boosters made a post that the live feed will be back at 5 pm with Emerald Suites exhibition performance. Originally Emerald Suites was supposed to be at the end of the day before awards, so I'm assuming they changed the performance schedule around and perhaps Plainfield dropped since there's this break? I suppose we'll find out soon enough when they resume.

showchoir.com has Plainfield on at 415. We have to drive from whiteland for rhythm masters who are slated for 630pm. Is there currently a delay on these times?

Mixed Tier 1 prediction
1. Whiteland
2. Noblesville
3. Plainfield
Could be wrong, but I've heard Whiteland stepped up their game with new choreographers. At any rate, can't wait to watch Saturday!

Due to a large number of contact tracing, FC Singers is pulling from this competition. To my knowledge, High Voltage is still attending.

PREDICTIONS

Mixed Tier 1
GC: NHS Singers - Noblesville
1RU: Rhythm Masters - Whiteland Community
2RU: Sandpipers - Chesterton

Mixed Tier 2
GC: Red Hot Blues - New Castle
1RU: Opening Knight - South Dearborn
2RU: Center Stage - Columbus East

Single-Gender
GC: High Voltage - Franklin Central
1RU: Femme Fatales - Plainfield
2RU: New Dimension - Noblesville

This could be totally wrong. I always struggle to make early season predictions because every year is just so different! There’s different sets, different kids, and sometimes different directors! Some of these groups haven’t competed this season so I am basing some of these predictions off last season. No matter what, I think this is gonna be an incredible competition and it’ll be super fun to see how it unfolds. If anyone else has some other ideas on how this will play out I’d love to hear it!

EDIT: I’m sad to hear FC Singers has dropped out! I was really looking forward to seeing their show this year. They always have spectacular vocals! If High Voltage is still able to compete they should do well in the Single-Gender Division. It’ll be exciting to see how this all plays out!!!

Honestly I’m super high on New Dimension after their 2020 season! They’ll definitely be a group to contend with in any womens division this year!

I was going back and forth on where to place New Dimension. They had such a solid season last year so it should be interesting no matter what!
