We are so grateful and indebted to Mr Miller and the people of Spirit Lake, for joining hands with Show Choirs For Thirst today! You are using the power of show choir to change the world, by raising awareness and funding to build clean water wells in Africa for dying people. We are a charity founded by a 19-year old show choir kid in 2008, and we now have raised over 11 million dollars to give over 400,000 people clean water for a lifetime. Today, Spirit Lake will add to that number, and we are humbled

Finals performance schedule has been updated. There will be 7 finalists, beginning at 7:05 PM. Awards at 10:30. One finalist spot will go to a 1A/2A school.
On the jazz choir side of this contest, the schedule has seen the 9:30 AM performer scratch, and a time change for Brookings who is now on at 2:45 (had previously been advertised as 3:00).
Don't miss the chance to see the Spirit Lake Community School District's red Yamaha piano, which is #17 of first 30 that were made in commemoration Elton John's Red Piano concert tour. It's signed by Sir Elton in gold ink, and it plays and sings a number of Elton songs. It will be available for viewing Friday night during the MS contest in the Sami Center lobby. On Saturday it will be in use in the jazz choir contest room all day, but our volunteers will have it set up to sing and play over the lunch break. The piano was donated to the school by the Bedell family in at the time the Sami Bedell Center For The Performing Arts was constructed.

It's a bit surprising seeing Carroll and Belmond-Klemme listed as 4A as typically they're 3A and 2A, respectively. Do folks know if there's a typo on the schedule or whether they simply chose to bump up in class?
