Wow, considering that Franklin Central is known for having some of the best vocals in the country, this is an outstanding feat by Loveland! Congratulations to everyone!

Final results are posted. Do folks know who took Best Band in the mixed division? Also, if folks can fill out any Mixed Tier II daytime placements that'd be cool.

edit: It's worth noting Loveland and Franklin Central tied for overall Grand Champion and that tie was broken by vocal score.

That’s a fairly usual way to break ties, tbh.

Yea it’ happened often. Anyone who watched knows those captions went to the wrong groups. Love loveland they just don’t sing better than FC. Dance? Absolutely. Show choir is super subjective... so there’s that.

For what it's worth, "sing better" can also be really subjective. Pitch is objective. Tone? That can largely be a matter of taste. Even diction has a sweet spot, though that may also be different for different people. We play a tricky game.

I dont Disagree. Style of singing is subjective being about to be on pitch, use dynamics, understand musicology... not really subjective. 2/4 judges had FC 1st. This is a scoring system issue rather than a taste issue. But go head loveland.
