I don't feel like many of the groups this past Saturday sold me on the emotional content of their show. Only a few groups had those special moments of taking me on a soul-searching journey.

***Jackson Prep streams finals only. It appears based on their live feed home page that there may be an opportunity to watch individual choirs performances afterward, but in general keep in mind it appears it's a finals only live feed.
I'd just like to reply and say that I think it's pretty great. They provided a live stream for free, and recordings of the choirs are only $10 - which is the same price or less than you used to have to pay for DVDs (not to mention these are higher quality and downloadable instantly). There's something really strange about how people treat digital media vs. physical media, and I think we subconsciously treat "files" as disposable because they're so easy to share and there's nothing tangible to assign value to. But it still takes a team of hard working people - with lots of technical equipment - to make those files. In an age where video of show choir is in general getting difficult to find, let's celebrate it when it's available and not complain too much that things cost money.
It ended too late and I couldn’t stay up to watch awards. I didn’t catch where the solo finalists were all from. Was the female winner the one who sang from Princess and the Frog, or the one who accompanied herself? And was the guy the one who had to start over cuz his mic was dead?
