Thank you to Monona Grove for being lovely hosts. Over the years this has been my favorite competition and this year you guys did not disappoint! Everything was ran very smoothly and their were plentiful amounts of people who understood what was happening. All the groups were FANTASTIC in finals. Tomah really, REALLY stepped up their game this year and it was such a delight to see their reaction of simply making finals, made me step back and remember what an honor it is to even make finals! Thanks for all you do at Silverstage!
Great show! All of the finals groups were outstanding. Congrats to all who participated. Congrats to MG for hosting such a top-notch event.
The only dull spot of the entire evening was watching the reaction of one of the Show Choirs that placed as a runner-up. I fully understand the disappointment of not placing where one thinks they should....however, it is unacceptable to show such poor sportsmanship. Bummer...you lost. Get over it and give the proper respect to those that scored higher....as they would to you if the situation was reversed.
I'm not disagreeing with these results by any means but do you have some insight on Wheeling? Or just based on previous years? I know they haven't been out yet this season but I know they won't disappoint their first time out.
Obviously I don't KNOW this, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Wahlert do well here. They really impressed me this past weekend at Keokuk. Also, Wheeling hasn't competed yet, so it will be very interesting to see how they do!!!
The only group I haven't seen is Wheeling. I could see Mayville and Fort switching, it depends who the judges are and who wants it more that day. Should be a great showdown for grand champs though.
Cool, thanks this one has been updated. And a warm welcome to DeForest and GB Southwest as they appear to be relatively newer to the competitive scene!
