I thought only top 2 were given an invitation to nationals?

It seemed they had intention to...Not sure about SCE, I think they have a money issue...I believe LSW will

Etobicoke told FAME they won't be coming to Nationals. Gretna was asked to take their spot but I'm not sure if they'll be attending(I spoke with a friend in Revolution and this is what she told me). East is still trying to figure out if we will be able to raise funds to compete.

Considering that LSW opened their season with a 6th place GINW and Norris at Midwest Cup, and then they come here and beat Sioux City East who had just won over Mitchell is phenomenal. Congratulations to those kids. I would have loved to be at that performance just to see how good that they've become over the past 2 months. I think it's incredible. Honestly when I first saw their show, I wasn't that impressed, but now I just want to see it because it must be phenomenal. Congratulations again, you all must have put in a lot of work. Also congratulations to Gretna on their results! Pretty impressive for a school of 800!

Big shout out to Etobicoke. They had a really fun show with awesome show design. They are definitely not a Glee show. Probably closer to a Totino show. Chad said their choreographer was Mike Weaver, so I think they are firmly on an American show choir path. They will destroy the competition at Canadian Nationals. Their biggest weakness is vocal projection. They don't crowd the front mikes to create a wall of sound, and there were no overhead mikes.

Hmm so Oswego brought their mixed group, too? They weren't on the performance schedule. Were they the first to perform as a late entry or does anyone know when Oswego mixed performed so we can add it above?

Oswego mixed was at 1 pm.

> Thanks! Added!

Super great day! Super close! 3 points seperating GC and 1RU!

They were so close to pulling off another GC and Best Band!

Congrats to Resonance, SCE, & Splash. You all need to return to the national competition!

I believe the judges will have it: SCE, LSW, Gretna, Etob, Brandon.

But the choirs I enjoyed the most were Gretna and Etobicoke.

Etobicoke will lose points for using mostly recorded music (unless they had ten more band members to that I couldn't see). Awesome show design. Gretna looks to have one of my favorite shows of the year. Unfortunately the band frequently overpowered the choir.

Not sure why the buffet is$20 when it was $8 Last year. Same food.

Prediction:
GC: Lincoln Southwest (BV, BC)
1RU: Sioux City East (BB)
2RU: Etobicoke
3RU: Gretna

Top two could be switched... also I can see Brandon Brio sneaking up into top four. We'll see. Caption awards could go either way seeing as LSW hasn't competed in a month but no doubt have improved so much. Sioux City East has a good shot at winning, with a remarkable season as well, but I gotta stick with LSW.
