Thanks for the info. I have shared several emails with Robert today, he shared the same info. The ramp is great news. We are really looking forward to the trip and performing at your competition.
Thanks again,
Greg Huber
Don't know if you have talked to Rob yet, but I over see the performance space during the weekend and your set pieces will fit just fine! We do have a ramp that goes up the back of the stage but it isn't steep at all. It's very easy to carry or roll set items up onto the stage. There is also steps on either side of the stage that is double wide, but does have a hand railing down the middle of the stair unit. With your set pieces I would suggest coming up the back ramp first and then having your band follow suit. This is what has worked the best for previous groups that have competed in the venue. I know that you guys are coming for Natalie Weiss's concert on Friday night and Rob and/or myself would have no problem walking you through the space and showing you the layout backstage after her concert. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask or you can call Rob.
Can I get some details about the venue, I am one of the road managers for Loveland and we have some very tall set pieces (just under 14 ft tall) should we expect height issues or steep ramps or stairs? Loveland is very excited to compete in LaCrosse for the first time. We promise you won't be disappointed. It' a very high energy show.
Go to grandriversingers.com and contact Robert Jones! I believe his e-mail and phone is listed on there. I am one of the hosts for this weekend, but I'm not exactly sure what the height restrictions are. I'm so excited to see you guys!
